Lukhanyo Autism day & after care is established in Northern Cape Kimberley. Registered as an nonprofit organization (NPO) the organization is Managed by parents of children living with Autism. The founders of this organization is two Women and two Men
The organization will start to operating February 2019, as we experience challenges with our children to be accommodate at preschoolers & schools ,most of our children are home based.
Specialized services in the Autism sector are scarce, with limited facilities and options available in South Africa, particularly for children’s with Autism. Lukhanyo Autism day care center is dedicated to research, and develops opportunities with exclusive group of individuals, based on international models.
History
Statistics prove that Autism is almost a pandemic now, with 1 in every 67 children born with Autism. As Autism is a lifelong disability, the child with Autism becomes the adult with Autism. In spite of these troubling figures, minimal services are availab.
Expansion and future developments of Lukhanyo Autism day care center are thus not simply options, but rather dire needs for children with Autism, and must be prioritized at all cost

The Organizetion
Lukhanyo Autism day Care was originally registered as a Section 21 organization in 2018 (non-profit organization). The facility had a constitution and was managed by a board of directors and consulted MR C. OGU (SAIBR 192)
The organization is registered with the Department of Social Development.
The day care
Lukhanyo Autism day Care residential facilities in Legaeng , where day & after care will provide to 15 children's living with Autism.
The residents in each facility are cared by 11 members principal, secretary, 03 teachers 03 assistance, cleaner and catera, each class consist of one teacher with 5 children per class and one assistant each, Lukhanyo Autism day care center residential staff are well experienced group.
Mission


Lukhanyo Autism Center will provide beneficiaries with a safe and secure environment, to accommodate an integrated alternative institution facility, offer a respite care, school and skills development center service, and support lifelong learning, as well as working opportunities. The rights, competencies Vision of stakeholders will be respected by all. They will be treated with dignity through the implementation of approaches related to best supported practices to enhance their autonomy and quality of life experiences.
Vision

To develop, expand & sustain a world class autism-specific community-based service model for children's with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Objectives

Provide high quality care and education for children and a secure Foundation for learning in an encouraging & nurturing environment.
To Promote Children’s social intellectual & physical development through play & structural activities preparing them for a smooth transition from Creach to school.
To work as partners with parents and carers in offering flexibility that allows each child individual needs to be met.
To encourage children to develop self- confidence and self-esteem and to feel valued as an individual.

To create a child- Centre where the Children & Young people are encourage decisions, and valuing children free time to be their time allowing and freely chosen play.
